Selecting a Project Type starts the license request process. You can click through each type to determine which Project best fits the use of music in your project.

Selecting CD Project will allow you to obtain both mechanical and DPD (digital phonorecord delivery) rights for your project. In some cases your project may also need to include the rights to either print lyrics in a CD jacket or make them available as part of the DPD purchase. You can add these rights to your Mechanical License by selecting the configuration “-lyrics” option.

A Digital Download Project is a project with digital components only (no physical components). This option will allow you to license digital print, digital video, and/or digital audio (DPD) configurations.

A DVD Project is an audio-visual production. Selecting this option will allow you to license a DVD or Digital Video Download.

A Film/TV Project will allow you to request rights needed for a TV Broadcast, Film Festival, or Motion Picture. In addition to the grant of rights to perform and synchronize a musical composition you’ll have the option to add additional media, rights and/or options during the license request process.

A Performance project will allow you to license your performance of a song at a live ticketed event.

A Podcast is a digital audio file made available on the Internet for downloading to a computer or mobile device, typically available as a series, new installments of which can be received by subscribers automatically.

Selecting Print Project will allow you to license an arrangement of a song, the use of lyrics in a book or presentation, as well as allow you to make copies of out-of-print music.

Streaming has become the new way of sharing content. A Website/Streaming license will allow you to license streaming video or audio on your website. In addition to video and audio you may also request a license to display lyrics on a blog or website.
