Jonathan Smith

Jonathan Smith is a producer and songwriter from Jonesboro, AR. Smith moved to Nashville, TN in 2006 to pursue a music business degree at Belmont University. In 2012 he signed a publishing deal with Essential Music Publishing. Since then Smith has had over 100 songs recorded by major CCM artists, Building 429, JJ Weeks Band, Vertical Church Band, Bryan & Katie Torwalt, Sidewalk Prophets, Danny Gokey, We Are Messengers, Tenth Avenue North, and Zach Williams to name a few. Most recently he co-wrote the Zach Williams song, “Chain Breaker” with Mia Fieldes and Zach Williams, which quickly debuted on Billboard and iTunes charts and was recently nominated for a Grammy.

Jonathan re-signed with Essential Music Publishing in 2016 and has made a name for himself among some of the top songwriters in Christian Music.
